The observation window: why Fail Closed waits
Observing is a status, not a recommendation. Learn what Check 1/2 means and when a token never reaches vision.
Two looks, not one
First sighting records a baseline price and 24h volume and starts a five-minute clock. Nothing is sent to GPT-4o yet. Nothing is a BUY.
When the clock elapses, the scanner looks again. If price dropped hard or volume collapsed versus that baseline, the token is rejected. If it is still standing, it goes to audit and then to chart vision.
Collapse can happen on a live BUY too
The same dump check runs after a gated BUY. If the pool dies, you get SELL NOW — not silence. A Helius stream on Solana can fire that faster than the next poll, but the poll is still the backstop if the websocket is down.
If you see Observing with a countdown, do not treat the row as an entry. It is a candidate that has not earned a verdict.
